    Project Outline

    Consara Construction Ltd were contracted by Blu-3 to assist with the civils & concrete development works at the Johnson Matthey compound in Enfield. The facility is subject to extensive security standards and procedures due to the operations within the site boundary.

    Scope of Works

    • Construction of engineered working platform for piling operations.
    • Piling attendance and subsequent pile cropping.
    • Bulk excavation and installation of drainage.
    • Construction of RC works including RC concrete foundations, bunds & tanker offloading bay, with incorporated waterproofing detail. Installation of holding down bolts.
    • Installation of street furniture including bollards and speed bump.
    • Reinstatement of adjacent slabs, highways and kerb lines.

    Key Challenges

    • » Working within an operational facility required excellent segregation of our operations from day to day works within the compound.
    • » Delivery & collection vehicles subject to stringent security check on entry and exit from site.
    • » Contaminated ground required to be separated during the bulk dig and stored separately for collection, required removal from site as hazardous waste.
